Jacob Moose
3rd Place Finish at Shippensburg Speedway
The Young Guns 390 Junior Sprints returned to Shippensburg Speedway on Saturday Sept 18th for the second to last point’s race of the 2010 season. #76 Logan Spahr won the Heat race while fighting off the hard charging #18 Jacob Moose. Taking the green under the lights for the Feature #76 Logan Spahr would set a blistering pace while #15H Franklin Heinzmann would have to dice his way through the field having started at the rear due to a broken throttle cable knocking him out of the Heat. #15H Franklin Heinzmann would grab the second position from #18 Jacob Moose but the battle would continue for several laps with #18 Jacob Moose applying the heat at every corner. As the two drivers raced through T3 and T4 #18 Jacob Moose would make contact with #15H Franklin Heinzmann. #15H Franklin Heinzmann would be able to gather his car back up while #18 Jacob Moose would do a half spin before coming to a stop bringing out the only caution of the race. With the field bunched back up the green would fly and #15H Franklin Heinzmann would apply pressure to #76 Logan Spahr for a couple of laps before #76 Logan Spahr would pull away. #18 Jacob Moose would work his way around #66 Zach Wells and set his sites again on #15H Franklin Heinzmann.
As the checkered flew #76 Logan Spahr would claim not only the victory but also the 2010 Shippensburg Speedway track Championship in the Young Guns 390 Junior Sprint Division. #15H Franklin Heinzmann would come across in the second position to maintain a 25 point lead in the Young Guns 390 Junior Sprint Series 2010 points Championship going into the final race this Saturday Sept 25th at Shippensburg Speedway. #18 Jacob Moose would finish a hard fought third with #66 Zach Wells taking the fourth position right on the tail of #18 Jacob Moose.
