Jacob Moose
5th Place Finish Shippensburg Speedway
The Young Guns 390 Junior Sprints continued their 2010 season at Shippensburg Speedway on Saturday Sept 4th. Cooler temperatures made for hot racing on the track. #5 Sean Case would take the win in the Heat. But he would have to hold off the hard charging #76 of Logan Spahr who would also be feeling the heat from #18 Jacob Moose. From the drop of the green in the Feature event there would close wheel-to-wheel racing from start to finish. #5 Sean Case would lead the opening laps starting from the Pole but the #76 of Logan Spahr would make a quick move to the inside and grab the lead. This would open the door for #15H Franklin Heinzmann to dive low under #5 Sean Case coming out of T2 with #18 Jacob Moose following on his bumper. #5 Sean Case would find himself up in the lose stuff and nearly making contact with the T3 wall before slowing to a stop, avoiding contact but bringing out the lone caution of the Feature. While under caution, a controversial call would see the #18 of Jacob Moose ordered off the track in what was shaping up to be one of his best performances since joining the series. On the restart #15H Franklin Heinzmann would put the pressure on leader #76 Logan Spahr while #66 Zach Wells would quickly close the gap on #15H Franklin Heinzmann. With the laps ticking away #76 Logan Spahr would pull away by a couple car lengths while #15H Franklin Heinzmann would have his hands full holding off the hard charging #66 of Zach Wells. As the checkered flag flew #76 Logan Spahr would pick up yet another Shippensburg Speedway victory with #15H Franklin Heinzmann grabbing a hard fought second place with #66 Zach Wells coming in third and early leader #5 Sean Case coming across the line in fourth place.
