Tyler Erb charges to fifth-place finish at All-Tech
After wet weather forced race officials to cancel Friday’s Winter Nationals opener at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.), Tyler Erb returned to the driver’s seat of the Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 Late Model at the 4/10-mile oval on Saturday for the $15,000-to-win program.
With 44 Late Models entered, Erb raced his way into the main event with a sixth-to-third run in his consolation race after finishing seventh in his heat. Wheeling his way into the top-five, Tyler passed 16 cars in the 50-lap affair to reel in an impressive fifth-place finish. He chased Ricky Thornton Jr., Tim McCreadie, Brandon Sheppard, and Devin Moran to the checkers.
Tyler climbed to ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
