Top-10 finish in Southbound Throwdown at All-Tech Raceway
After a rain-plagued month of March, Best Performance Motorsports and Tyler Erb returned to action on Thursday evening with the second annual Kyle Larson Late Model Challenge at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.).
Drawing a stout field of 44 cars, Erb edged his way into the feature with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. With $20,000 on the line, Tyler was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on lap 34.
For the inaugural Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series event on Friday, Tyler traveled to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) for the rain-shortened Southbound Throwdown. Racing his way into the $20,000-to-win main event via a consolation victory, Erb advanced through the field 10 positions in the 50-lap affair to register an eighth-place finish.
