The final race of the 2015 season for the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series was at the Central Washington State Fair Raceway in Yakima on Saturday September 26th. The tour would retain all thirteen cars from the night before and another exciting race would be had on the 3/8-mile clay oval. Drivers in the pits represented the states of Washington and Oregon.

Jason Johnson, who was the pace setter for so much of the Friday show, would get the early lead in his Jackhammer Trucking/T&G Trucking/Pagel Towing #76 MasterSbilt. Lapped traffic would not really become an issue due to so many cautions during the feature. The Gresham, Oregon driver would master all of the restarts but would also be challenged on a couple of occasions.

Jason Johnson would keep all challengers in check to pick up the victory. It would be his second win of 2015 and the first of his career at Yakima. Johnson had a strong run the night before that resulted in a third place finish.

Eugene, Oregon's Jesse Williamson was second in the Jerry Schram owned Schram Brothers Excavating/Century III Stable/Bodies By Steve-O #16W MasterSbilt followed by the All In Property Investments/Joey Tanner Racing/Warpaint Motorsports Graphix #67 MasterSbilt of Dave Walters from Boring, Oregon in third. Battle Ground veteran Sonny Modaff was fourth in his Freight West Global/Xtreme Motorsports/T-Mac Performance #8X MasterSbilt while the Food Express Inc./Qwikline Industrial Products/Barella Underground Utilities & Excavating #88 MasterSbilt of John Gamell out of Brush Prairie.

John Gamell was fast time of the night as well as the winner of the trophy dash. Jesse Williamson and the Central Oregon Trucking/Driving Force Graphics/W.W. Trailers #31B Rocket of Ron Brewster, from Redmond, Oregon, were the two heat race winners. Dave Walters at the end of the night would have the most points to become the 2015 Northwest Extreme Late Model Series champion. Walters is the fourth different driver to win a title with the series since it started back in 2010.

With the season all done and over with the 2016 campaign is just around the corner. For the latest news and information regarding the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series log on to latemodel.nwextremeseries.com.
