Tim Kaeding Joining Sides Motorsports for World of Outlaws Races in Washington

Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (Aug. 27, 2019) – Tim Kaeding is back in a Sides Motorsports entry this weekend during a trio of World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series races in Washington.
Kaeding will join team owner Jason Sides on Friday and Saturday at Skagit Speedway in Alger during the World of Outlaws at Skagit Presented by Scottie’s Plumbing and on Monday at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma.
“It’s always fun coming out to the Northwest,” Sides said. “Skagit is fun and so is racing in Elma. It’s always a good time. The weather is great and the people are great fans. It seems more laid back and they enjoy the racing.”
Sides narrowly missed a pair of top 10s last weekend during World of Outlaws shows in South Dakota and Montana.
The action began on Friday at Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, S.D., where Sides placed ninth during the NOS Energy Drink Rushmore Outlaw Showdown
“We were just there, but we weren’t real good or real comfortable,” he said. “The racing lane was up near the fence and it was wide open around the top. At the very beginning we all went down to the corner. I checked up a little to hopefully not crash and a couple went by. Then we moved up to the top and that was about it.”
The weekend concluded on Saturday at Big Sky Speedway for The Brawl at Big Sky Speedway. Sides ended the night 11th, but less than a car length from a top-10 result.
“We qualified better than we raced,” he said noting his fifth-place qualifying effort. “I lost second in the heat and got over the edge and lost another spot trying to make that up. Those two spots made us start 11th in the feature. We finished where we started and if we were able to start closer up front I think we would have had a top five or top 10.”
