Wilkins and Sussex Take ASCS Regional Triumphs At Arizona Speedway

Bryan Hulbert – QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. (October 3, 2020) A Saturday Sprint Car doubleheader at Arizona Speedway, the ASCS Southwest Region and San Tan Ford ASCS Desert Non-Wing Series were in action with Eric Wilkins topping the Winged action, while Stevie Sussex stood atop the podium in Non-Wing competition.

Winning from the left of the second row, Stevie Sussex’s triumph marks the fourth time the Laveen, Ariz. driver has topped the San Tan Ford ASCS Desert Non-Wing Series.

Getting the lead on Lap 4, Sussex extended his advantage to 2.342-seconds at the close of the 25-lap event. Dustin Burkhart crossed second with Ronald Webster third. Moving up from 11th, Tyler Most was fourth with Randy Nelson making up the top five.

Likewise, from the third starting spot, the ASCS Southwest Region’s 25-lap A-Feature was ruled over by Eric Wilkins. To the point by the fifth circuit, Wilkins stretch his advantage to 1.651-seconds at the drop of the checkered flag over Colton Hardy. New Mexico’s Lorne Wofford and son West Wofford made the five.
