Mitchell Becomes First Two-Time Winner of Late Model Sportsman Tour

(Baldwyn, MS – September 28th, 2024) – In a showdown at Pine Ridge Speedway, Bryson Mitchell etched his name in the history books as the first two-time winner of the Crate Racin' USA Late Model Sportsman Tour. Mitchell claimed victory in the $2,000-to-win main event, leading 18 of the 30 laps after starting from the fifth position.

This eighth event of the inaugural season for the 602 late models came on the heels of a rainout at Moulton Speedway, where inclement weather from Hurricane Helene had wreaked havoc across several states, including Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Mitchell battled fiercely against Cullman, AL driver Brandon Brown, who started on the outside of row one alongside pole sitter Kurt Radojcsics from Pontotoc, MS. Ultimately, Mitchell's strategy and skill paid off as he secured his second victory of the 2024 season.

Logan Bradford crossed the finish line in the runner-up position, which allowed him to seize the points lead with only one race remaining in the season. Bradford's consistent performance has earned him his second top-five finish of the season, putting him just six points ahead of Chase Giddens as the series heads into the championship weekend. The final race is set for November 17th at the Blue Gray 100 at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC.

As the Crate Racin' USA Late Model Sportsman Tour gears up for the final race of the season, all eyes will be on Bradford and Giddens as they vie for the championship title.
