Corrigan Oil Speedway
MARFC NIGHT Presented By Granger Waste Services Recap For July 18th
A beautiful night for racing on July 18th. Our friends from the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club were in attendance along with Relay For Life which will have their event on September 20th. Mike Havens was the gear bag recipient courtesy of the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club. COS would like to thank Granger Waste Services for sponsoring the race program on July 18th. We hope you all had a great time and a awesome autograph session! Shaheen Chevrolet Cadillac Late Model Sportsman were in attendance along with: DuroTech Mini Wedges, Premier Carpentry & Painting FWDs, Street Stocks, and Boss Snow Plow Equipment Figure 8’s. Shaheen Chevrolet Cadillac Late Model Sportsman:
A dominating performance by race winner 87-John Trudell of Onondaga, MI here is the results behind John: 2nd 45-Joey Barnhart; 3rd 97-Brian Dorer; and 4th 23-Austin Jenks. The Shaheen Late Model Sportsman will return on Friday, August 22nd.
DuroTech Automotive Mini Wedges:
Carson Vainner won the heat and feature for the Junior Division 5-9 year olds and Ace Hart dominated winning both the heat and the feature for the Senior Division 10-14 year olds. The Mini Wedges will return on Friday, August 1st.
COS Street Stocks:
The Street Stocks put on a great show! Aaron Taylor won both the heat and the feature piloting the red 70 owned by Dan Lewis, and normally driven by Bryan Passick. Here is the heat race results behind Aaron Taylor: 2nd 17-Montie Matthews; 3rd 145-Mike Havens; 4th 18-Drew Smith; 5th T20-Darrell Taylor; 6th 42-JC Hinton. The feature event was full of good hard racing. Aaron Taylor and Mike Havens made some contact at the beginning of the race resulting in Mike Havens right front tire getting cut down. He went to the pits got it changed came back on track had to restart at the back and had a hard battle with Montie Matthews for 2nd, Mike Havens would finish 3rd here is the results of the feature: 1st 70-Aaron Taylor; 2nd 17-Montie Matthews; 3rd 145-Mike Havens; 4th T20-Darrell Taylor; 5th 18-Drew Smith; 6th Did Not Finish 42-JC Hinton. The Street Stocks will return on Sunday, July 27th.

A Feature: Pat Dent-6 wins feature #3 this season at COS! He took the field to school on Friday Night showing them how it’s done. B Feature: Randy Adams was our feature winner for the B Feature. Randy hasn’t raced in 5 years, and the last time he raced was on the 3/8 mile dirt oval of I-96 Speedway! Congrats Randy on your first feature win after 5 years of nit racing! The Premier Carpentry & Painting Front Wheel Drives will be back in action will be back in action on Sunday, July 27th for the Motorhead 1000 Presented By Moorhead Mafia Family Racing.
Boss Snow Plow Equipment Figure 8’s:
The figure 8’s ended our July 18th program. The figure 8’s qualified for the first time in roughly 20 years! We had 13 competitors take the green flag!
