Kokomo

Sam struggled in time trials at Kokomo timing in 30th overall. Hafertepe was all over Steve Kinser for the final transfer spot in his heat but couldn't quite make the pass. In the B Main Sam worked his way from his 9th starting position into the 4th and final transfer spot but a late-race caution saw Sam have to re-start in the slick and he was unable to get to the bottom and protect his position which resulted in him missing the feature event.
