Sam started The World of Outlaws A Feature at Burlington on Friday night in the 10th position and had just moved into the 6th spot when another car changed lanes in front of Sam which caused Sam to lift suddenly in the curb. The car bicycled and flipped ending Sam's night.

The following evening at Knoxville Sam shot the lead and was driving away from the field before a caution was thrown. Following the yellow the car started suffering serious handling issues and Sam was forced pitside.

Sam will be back in action with The Outlaws at Jackson and Knoxville.
