Lebanon I-44 Speedway Driver Climbing the Racing Ladder

More drivers are securing there 2019 race season rides. One driver, out of Lebanon Missouri, is moving up from the Hornet division and into the Big 10 Late Model division. The Big 10 Late Model class is moving into its second year on the High-Banks of Lebanon I-44 Speedway, and after a spectacular season of close racing and a tight points battle many drivers are looking to join in the fun and one of those drivers is none other than Chris Albright.
Chris Albright is entering his second year of competition at Lebanon I-44 Speedway after a stellar Rookie season in the Hornet class. Albright’s two feature wins propelled him to a 4th overall in the Championship after missing opening night and having motor issues mid-season. Albright will still be competing in the Hornet class in 2019 as well as the Big 10 Late Model class. He is one of many drivers that will be pulling double-duty this season. Albright will have to approach each class with a completely different mindset with the Hornet class being on the inner 1/5-mile track and the Big 10 Late Models running on the big 3/8-mile track. While some skills will transfer, Albright will still have a bit of a learning curve ahead of him. “Some skills that I think will transfer over would be like not being scared of being right next to other cars and just being comfortable in a race situation,” added Albright. In 2019, Albright is looking to have a successful season in both divisions and contend for Championships. “I’m definitely going for the points championship in the Hornet class and would really like to take the Rookie of the Year title in the Big 10 class. There is a lot of new talent coming into the Big 10 class, so it should be challenging and fun,” stated Albright.
The first race of the 2019 season will be held on Saturday, March 30th. The night will play host to all of the weekly racing divisions as well as the first round of the new Ozarks Asphalt Late Model series which will feature a 100-lap, $2,000 to win feature event titled the March Madness 100. We hope to see everyone there cheering on the No. 28 of Chris Albright and the rest of the talented race car drivers!
