Pair of Top-5 Finishes at Emma Indoor for Waylon Phillips

Waylon returned to action at Emma (Mo.) Indoor on Saturday evening, where h competed in the Jr. 2 Heavy and Jr. 2 Lite ranks.

In Jr. 2 Heavy he won his heat race from the fifth-starting position to earn the pole for the feature event. He led the first 12 circuits of the 15-lap feature before slipping back to a third-place finish behind Alex Schultz and Hoyt Miller.

Meanwhile in Jr. 2 Lite action a third-place finish in his heat race positioned Waylon sixth in the feature. He went on to pass two competitors to finish fourth behind Alex Schultz, Tristan Martin, and Tanner Larouere.
