NATIONAL SPRINT CAR HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE BILL UTZ TO LEAD “MUSEUM MADNESS 2” AT MOBERLY, MISSOURI, THIS FRIDAY

National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee Bill Utz of Sedalia, Missouri, will headline this Friday’s “National Sprint Car Museum Madness 2” at the National Sprint League (NSL) sanctioned ‘410’ event at the Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Missouri. Bill will be present with his famed Ol’ Yeller sprint car. Along with Bill’s number 56 machine will be the late Ken Taylor’s restored number 96 super-modified, as brought to the track by museum supporter Chuck Hines.

Said museum curator Tom Schmeh today, “I know the NSL has lined up an autograph session with current Missouri sprint car drivers Brian Brown and Danny Lasoski, himself a National Sprint Car Hall of Famer, but we are very excited to be hosting sprint car great Bill Utz and his famed Ol’ Yeller sprint car at Moberly as part of our Museum Madness event. Plus, we have the late Ken Taylor’s super-modified coming, which helps tell the story of the evolution of stock cars to modified stock cars to super-modifieds to today’s modern sprint car. If you are sprint car fan in Missouri, you will want to be at Moberly this Friday night, May 29, for the NSL-sanctioned winged 410-cubic-inch sprint car races and Museum Madness 2.”

The museum booth at Moberly will feature both restored cars and a table with the following informational brochures: museum membership program, Racers at Rest program, Stay in School program, Expand the Dream program, A Brick at a Time program, museum store catalog and www.missourisprintcarracing.com. In addition, over one hundred museum prizes will be given away to lucky fans this Friday night.

The “National Sprint Car Museum Madness” promotional program will take place at the following NSL races:

May 15 – Jacksonville, Ill. (with Midwest Open Wheel Association) – cancelled (rain),
May 29 – Moberly, Missouri,
July 24 – Denison, Iowa,
August 30 – Sun Prairie, Wisconsin (with Interstate Racing Association),
September 4 – Jackson, Minnesota,
September 6 – Brandon, South Dakota, and
