Price-Miller 14th in New York

PETERSEN MEDIA: Parker Price-Miller felt like he had a target on the Destiny Motorsports No. 4 machine Saturday night in Fulton, NY. Despite being involved in a heat race and feature event incident, the youngster would rebound and charge his way forward to a 14th place finish.

“I got our night started off on a bad note and messed up in time trials,” Price-Miller said. “Noisey, Tyler, and Jr did a great job of giving me a good car the rest of the night, but unfortunately we got caught up in a couple of incidents.”

Timing the MonDak Portables/Ft. Union Supply and Trading/Townline Variety backed No. 4 in 14th quickest in qualifying time trials, Price-Miller would race his way into third during his heat race. Contact from behind would see the Destiny Motorsports machine spin out, and the Kokomo, IN driver would head to the B Main.

Picking up a second place finish in the semi, Price-Miller would move into the feature event where he would take the green flag from the 20th starting position. Falling back to 21st when the green flag was displayed to the field, Price-Miller would slip back to 22nd before he started to gain positions.

Working into 19th on the ninth lap, the youngster would find himself collected in a wreck on the 10th lap and would opt to make a trip to the work area to make some adjustments to the Agee Farms/Champion Brand Lubricants/Triple X.

Restarting in the 22nd position, PPM would start to work his way forward on the Fulton Speedway. Jumping into the 17th spot by the 15th lap, Price-Miller would continue to get stronger on the slick surface as the laps wore on. Continuing to move forward, Price-Miller would get as high as the 13th position before taking the checkered flag in 14th.

“It wasn’t the result that we had hoped for, but it was a good learning night for me and this crew,” Price-Miller added. “I think we learned some things that I like on the slick surface, and that will be good moving forward. Again, this is a great opportunity I have and I am very thankful to Rick and Barb Rogers, and everyone that has made this all possible.”
