Inside Line Promotions – ELDON, Mo. (Sept. 18, 2017) – Seth Bergman rallied to earn his third consecutive podium finish and his 25th top-five result of the season last Saturday at Lake Ozark Speedway, where he continued to build momentum heading into a big slate of events in the final two months of the season.

“It’s important that we move forward whenever we’re on the track and that we run up front and we accomplished both things last Saturday,” he said. “We have a lot of huge races remaining this season and I think we’re going to put ourselves in contention to win some of them.”

Last Saturday’s ASCS Warrior Region event began with Bergman advancing from fourth to third place in a heat race. That ranked him ninth in overall points, which was one position shy of making the feature redraw. It lined him up on the inside of the fifth row for the A Main.

“Early in the night the track wasn’t super racy,” he said. “I felt like we did all we could do in the heat race. The track got wide and slick to a curb around the fence for the feature. We were good. We had a lot of restarts and I was able to figure out some things as the race went on. I was getting better on each restart and able to make things happen.”

Bergman maneuvered from ninth to third place, which was his seventh top-five result in his last 10 races.

“We have room to grow,” he said. “That’s a good thing when you’re able to earn podiums and top fives yet still nitpick areas to get better in. We want to be winning races, especially some of these bigger events that are on the horizon.”

The next opportunity is this Thursday through Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., for the 7th annual Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

Bergman enters the event ranked sixth in the championship standings – only seven points behind fifth place and 75 points out of third place. He has also picked up at least one top-10 result at the track during each of the last five seasons, highlighted by a fourth-place finish in 2015.

“It’s a nice feeling going into this weekend with a big event knowing that lately we’ve been competitive and had a race car that’s been up front,” he said. “Scott Baylor has been doing a great job with our engines and our Triple X is running well. I feel like we should have a strong showing and will be one of the cars capable of winning.”

Bergman placed 11th at the track during his lone start this season.
