Martin visits Eldora for Million and Dream

With the 124-car field split into two groups for a pair of $12,000-to-win preliminary features, Martin dropped two spots in his heat to finish 13th, sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main. Needing to place second or better, Parker gained six spots to finish 10th.

Later that night for heat races leading up to the Eldora Million, Parker’s bid for the $1,002,022-to-win main event came to end after placing 15th in his heat race.

On Friday as the 28th annual Dirt Late Model Dream got underway with a pair of prelims, Martin timed in 14th-fastest in his 57-car group but faded back to eighth in his heat. Taking the top-two from the B-Main, Parker fell short with an 11th-place outing.

For the finale on Saturday, Parker came in 10th in his heat, giving him one last chance at the $128,000-to-win A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Starting on the 11th row, Martin logged an 18th-place finish in the 15-lapper.
