Bellm Makes 410 Debut Saturday at St. Francois County Raceway!

Lonnie Wheatley, NIXA, Mo. (August 23, 2019) – Following Hard Charger efforts at Sedalia last Sunday, Kyle Bellm is set for a change of pace this weekend.

The Nixa, MO, racer will make his first career 410-ci Sprint Car start in Sunday’s $3,000-to-win tilt at Farmington, Missouri’s St. Francois County Raceway.

It’s an outing that Bellm and the family-owned No. 14k team have been anxiously awaiting.

“We have had this engine sitting here for a few weeks, we just haven’t had the right opportunity to put it to use,” Bellm explained. “This race pays pretty well, so it just seems like the perfect time to go and do it. I feel like we have everything ready and we can do well.”

Bellm comes into the event off a pair of events aboard the Smith Racing No. 86 Sprint Car at Eldon, Missouri’s Lake Ozark Speedway on Saturday and then Sedalia’s Missouri State Fairgrounds on Sunday.

After struggled led to an 11th place finish, Sunday didn’t start off in promising form either. “We drew the back of a tough heat, so there wasn’t much ground that we could gain,” Bellm commented.

Gridding the feature field 15th, Bellm made the most of it by racing to a sixth-place finish and earning Hard Charger honors. And it could have been better if not for a depleted fuel cell.

“There were quite a few cautions, and we were out of fuel at the end,” Bellm says. “We were passing for fourth, then it started sputtering and we fell back. At least we were able to hold on to sixth.”

Bellm will be looking to go forward on Saturday night at St. Francois County Raceway as he makes his first 410-ci start.

The Kyle Bellm Racing efforts are made possible with support from marketing partners including Greenworks Nursery, Landscapes Awarded, Christian County Collision Repair, Bybee Lawn Care, PPG Automotive Finishes, Colorvision, Schure Built Suspensions, Schaeffers Racing Oil and Valley Park West Retirement Living.

Quick Stats: 24 Races, 1 win, 5 top-fives, 11 top-tens.

Up Next: $3,000-to-win 410-ci Sprint Cars at St. Francois County Raceway (Farmington, MO) on Saturday.
