Inaugural CJ Rayburn Memorial Super Late Model $10,000 to Win Race Added to 2022 Schedule
CRATE LATE MODELS TO RACE FOR $2,000 TO WIN, PLUS UMP MODIFIEDS - SPECIAL RACE TO HONOR HOOSIER HALL OF FAMER SUNDAY APRIL 17
Indianapolis, Indiana - Circle City Raceway is going all out to honor hall of fame member CJ Rayburn, who the racing world just lost this past week, with a special Super Late Model race that will pay $10,000 to the winner.
The Inaugural CJ Rayburn Stronger Than Dirt Memorial Classic will take place on Sunday, April 17, 2022 for a special 50 Lap feature main event. Accompanying the Super Late Models will be a special $2,000 to win Crate Late Model event, plus the Sherley Unlimited Snow Company UMP Modifieds. Purses, start times and more will be announced over the coming weeks.
"We wanted to honor this Hoosier hero who we just lost, and what better way than to have an event here in Central Indiana," said track owner Kevin Garrigus. "Owning the Indianapolis Speedrome, where CJ is a Hall of Famer, and operating Circle City Raceway's quarter mile dirt track, where CJ really made his name on the dirt track's of America, we couldn't be more honored. This event for years to come will truly be one of our crown jewels."
