Thiel eager for World of Outlaws visit to Beaver Dam

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (May 29, 2024) - It will be a busy two days in the Badger State for Scotty Thiel and Team 73, set to join the Greatest Show On Dirt for back-to-back nights of competition at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, on Friday and Saturday, May 31 and June 1. Dubbed the World of Outlaws Jim "JB" Boyd Memorial, the two-day showcase will feature two, full programs, all of which headlined with a $20,000-to-win finale on Saturday night. Thiel will roll into the weekend on the coattails of one victory this season, that of which earned during IRA Outlaw Sprint Series action at Cedar Lake Speedway.
“We’ve been looking forward to this all season,” Thiel, ace of the Gibbsville Cheese, Professional Plating Inc, Ludwig & Sons Trucking, Total Restoration Services, Scott Thiel Builders, Lift Pro, Schmidts Landscaping, Complete Water, GRP Motorsports, Lake Home Retreats, Elliott Family, Diamond Pools, No. 73 sprint car, said. “We’re always striving to find ways to put ourselves and our partners on the map, and to find success with the World of Outlaws, basically in our own backyard, is the perfect opportunity to do so. We’ll head into the weekend with a clear mind and solid attitude. We’re excited to get moving.”
The “Big Wheel” will enter the Beaver Dam doubleheader fresh off of an IRA weekend at Wilmot Raceway and 141 Speedway. Despite Sunday’s visit to 141 getting the boot, action at Wilmot went on as planned with Thiel concluding the evening with a 14th-place score - forced to restart at the tail after a spin.

Scotty Thiel and Team 73 will continue their 2024 campaign with two nights of World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series competition at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, on Friday and Saturday, May 31 and June 1. Saturday’s World of Outlaws Jim "JB" Boyd Memorial finale will award a $20,000 payday.
