Bernheisel Racing visits Selinsgrove and Hagerstown
The rain-delayed Appalachian Mountain Speedweek (AMS) finale took place this past weekend, as Selinsgrove Speedway hosted the fifth and final race of the abbreviated five-race tour.
Bryan Bernheisel raced into Friday’s feature with a second-place finish in his heat race. However, incorrect adjustments before the start of the 35-lapper saw him fade to an 11th-place finish.
Also returning to the seat for Bernheisel Racing on Friday was Briggs Danner, who piloted the team’s second entry to a 16th-place finish in the 35-lap feature.
On Saturday, with only Bryan in action for the Frank Sagi Tribute at Hagerstown Speedway, adversity struck early when engine smoke during hot laps forced the team to switch to a backup car. Despite the setback, Bernheisel qualified fourth-fastest in his group and went on to finish fourth in his heat. He capped the night with a 14th-to-8th run in the $5,000-to-win A-Main.
