BALOG BATTLES, LOOKS FOR MOMENTUM AT THE 54th ANNUAL TUSCARORA 50 AT PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY
Hartland, Wisconsin (September 8th, 2021) – After struggling at Grandview Speedway (8/26) and Lincoln Speedway (8/28), Bill Balog and the B Squared Motorsports team worked hard to build a spare car in time to close out the month of August at BAPS Motor Speedway (8/29/21). The car, repaired after a 2018 crash at Knoxville by Midland Performance, rewarded the teams hard work with a heat race win and a top 10 All Star Circuit of Champions feature event finish for the Anderson’s Maple Syrup #17B.
“I have to thank Jason Sosnoski, Matt McKay, Joe Taylor and Matt Miller for busting their butts to get this thing ready to race. We had to run the fuel system, gauges and get the motor in, it was a big effort.” said the North Pole Nightmare, driver of the CK Contractors LLC, Buesser Concrete, Wisecup Siding, Howard Law, Wayne Corini, CPA, Lein Acres sprint car.
Despite the teams’ efforts, the momentum did not continue into the doubleheader weekend at Attica Speedway September 3rd and 4th in the Buckeye State. Battling a strong FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions field, chasing demons with their hauler, and relying on their back up car the team struggled both nights at Attica Speedway, capturing a weekend’s best 18th place finish in the September 3rd feature event.
“Racing will beat you up, we’re getting beat up right now,” said Balog. “After Friday we needed to make some changes, we were looking for a spark on Saturday and the car didn’t respond to the changes we made. We’re looking forward to the Tuscarora 50 at Port Royal this weekend,” said the 10X IRA Sprint Car Champion.

B Squared Motorsports will continue their 2021 FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions season, battling in the heart of Pennsylvania Posse Country where one of open wheel’s most historic and sought-after events will be contested beginning Thursday evening, September 9 – the 54th edition of Port Royal Speedway’s Tuscarora 50.
The three-day blockbuster, set to headline action on Thursday through Saturday, September 9-11, will feature three complete All Star Circuit of Champions programs kicking-off with an $8,000-to-win preliminary on Thursday. Competition will continue with another preliminary contest on Friday awarding $10,000-to-win, all of which capped with the 54th running of the 50-lap Tuscarora 50 on Saturday, awarding $54,000 payday to the 2021 winner.
Bill and the B Squared Motorsports team currently sit in 6th place in ASCoC season points standings.
