Clayton lands seventh-place outing in Wiener Nationals at Moberly
For Labor Day weekend, Clayton Stuckey traveled to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Friday afternoon with his Black Diamond Race Car crew for the first night of the Ron Jenkins Memorial with the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association.
With 34 MLRA Late Models signed in, Stuckey transferred to the 30-lap A-Main after winning his B-Main. For the $5,000-to-win feature, Clayton recorded a 13th-place finish.
For Saturday's $11,000-to-win show, Clayton gained three positions in his heat race which earned him a 12th-place starting position in the feature. Slowly moving through the field, Stuckey snuck into the Top-10 with a ninth-place run.
Wrapping up the weekend at Moberly (Mo.) Motorsports Park on Sunday evening, Clayton was unable to record a qualifying lap but made up four spots in his heat race. Rolling off 13th in the $10,000-to-win feature, Stuckey made his way into the Top-10 and landed seventh when the checkered flag flew.
