Clay Stuckey wraps up 2024 Wild West Shootout at Vado
On Wednesday afternoon, Clayton Stuckey returned to his Black Diamond Racing No. 15 machine for Round Three of the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout at Vado Speedway Park (Vado, NM).
With the Late Model field down to 39 entries, Stuckey finished third in his heat race and landed a Top-15 finish in the $11,000-to-win A-Main.
After taking a day off on Thursday, Stuckey nabbed a late transfer spot in his B-Main and recorded a 20th-place finish in Friday's A-Main.
Getting off to a slow start on Saturday, Clayton was unable to make the feature event.
For Sunday's $26,000-to-win finale, Stuckey earned a position in the feature after a fourth-place finish in his B-Main. Rolling off towards the rear in the 50-lap feature event, Clayton gained six positions to finish 18th.
