Fisher Wins Two Features and Montana Round Up Title During Marquee NSA Series Event at Electric City Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – GREAT FALLS, Mont. (Sept. 3, 2018) – Eric Fisher emerged as the overall champion of the 24th annual Montana Round Up last weekend at Electric City Speedway, where he finished in the top three of each heat race and main event he entered.

Fisher won the opening night and the finale of the three-day North-American Speed Association event at the 3/10-mile dirt oval, which welcomed more than two dozen competitors in the winged sprint car division. Fisher also placed second during the second night of action to accumulate the most points to garner a $500 bonus on top of his race winnings.

Don Miller, who won Night 2, finished second in the event standings with Sean MacDonell rounding out the podium. Both drivers also netted bonus money.

The event opened on Friday with Fisher outdueling Miller for the top prize. Bill Boyce placed third with MacDonell fourth and Mark Wermling charging from 16th to fifth place.

MacDonell, James Setters and Miller were the heat race winners. Bryan Brown claimed the B Main.

Familiar faces ran up front on Saturday as Miller reversed roles with Fisher to claim the victory. Boyce ended third, MacDonell fourth and Wermling fifth for the second straight night.

Miller, Boyce and Joe Perry picked up heat race triumphs. Wade Fleming was the B Main winner.

Fisher and MacDonell put on a show maneuvering through the field on Sunday during the event finale. Fisher rallied from seventh to garner his second win of the weekend and MacDonell powered from 10th to the runner-up result. Perry recorded a third-place finish with James Setters producing a fourth-place outing. Wermling was fifth for the third consecutive race.

Steve Reeves, Fleming and Perry each won a heat race.

“I want to thank all of the drivers, car owners and teams as well as the fans who supported us throughout the weekend,” Electric City Speedway Owner Dan Mann said. “We had a great weekend of racing and look forward to what the future entails.”
