Occupation: Shipping/Receiving Clerk

BD: Has the 2013 season treated you well so far?
BH: Yes it has, it’s been more than I could ever ask for. I’m glad we’ve had some sponsors come on board so we can compete full time with the ASCS-Northwest. I’m excited for this year too because we are going to learn a lot. These guys that run the series are the top dogs of the area.
BD: What are you looking forward to the most during the Bully Dog Performance Speedweek Northwest presented by Contingency Connection?
BH: Just being able to run all of it. Over the years we’ve ran here and there but never the whole deal. I’m very happy it ends at Cottage Grove because I love running that place.
BD: You mentioned some of your sponsors helping you out this year. You can’t get the job even started without sponsors.
BH: Without them we wouldn’t be able to compete. Bob and Vicki Hennis from Emerald Power Equipment really stepped up and so did Affordable Auto Sales.
BD: What are some of the goals that you have set yourself?
BH: My goal for this season is to get Rookie of the Year with ASCS-Northwest. Long term I would like to win a ASCS-National race or at least run fulltime with them.
BD: When I first saw you race you were #8. A few years ago you switched to #88. I think I may know whay you made the switch.
BH: Yeah my family is big Earnhardt fans. Growing up I watched a lot of NASCAR and really looked up to Dale Jr. So naturally when he went from #8 to #88 I did too.
