Zander LaRose wins on Doe Run Indoor opening weekend
As the Doe Run Raceway Indoor Series kicked off, Zander LaRose found himself in a familiar place — Victory Lane.
The first of four weekends at the indoor track in Palmyra, Missouri, commenced on Friday and Saturday, with LaRose competing in the LO206 Restricted Box Stock class in his Spartan Transportation No. 1Z from the RS12 Motorsports stable.
On Friday, LaRose qualified second, but fell from his front-row starting spot in the 15-lap A-Main to finish ninth in the 11-car field.
With 12 competitors in the class on Saturday, "Z Man" finished third in his heat and started the 15-lap main event from the third position. He picked up two spots against tough competition in the feature to take the checkered flag in front of Marshal Dawson, Parker Robb, August Muhlenburg and Jacob Deml.
