The Month of May
Legend racing has been busy in the last few weeks leading up to the UMSS summer kick off weekend at Rice Lake, WI. The month of May started off at the Ogilvie Raceway. The night started off well winning the heat race, and then moving from 4th to 2nd in the challenge race. The Legend racing #9 started on the outside of the front row with Andy Jones to the inside. Cars were 3 wide in turns one and two and a drag race incurred down the backstretch, the #9 took the low line with too much speed and slid to far up in the dry slick and spun out. After tagging on to the back of the field the Legend Racing, Ostrich Racing Engines, Maxim Chassis #9 Jared Goerges fought back to a 6th place finish. Chateau Speedway was the next stop for the UMSS tour the week after Ogilvie. Chateau’s surface was difficult for the Legend racing team to get a grip on. The #9 started the feature 13th and finished in 10th place.
