FREMONT, Ohio – One short week after suffering engine issues in hot laps at Attica Raceway Park, the Genzman Racing Enterprises No. 53 was back on track and roaring around that facility as well as the track right down the road, Fremont Speedway. Cap Henry piloted the car to two podium finishes over the weekend, finishing third at Attica Friday and producing a runner-up result on Saturday at Fremont.

The pit area at Attica held 22 sprints competing in the 410 division; commencing the weekend with a third-quick effort in qualifying, a 12.520-second lap. Henry would line up in his heat race from outside the front row. Holding the second spot early, he fell to third on lap four and finished in that position.

The invert for the main event helped the Bellevue, Ohio driver, however, as it gave him the pole position for the 30-lapper. Henry carried the lead down the back straight on lap one, but outside polesitter Stuart Brubaker nabbed the top spot before the lap was completed. While Henry was locked on passing back for the lead, perpetual threat Chad Kemenah was knocking on the door for second. The battle went on for several laps, and just as Kemenah took the position, he slid too high entering turn one and surrendered the spot back to Henry. He worked toward the halfway point as Chris Andrews began to challenge for position. The lone caution of the event would then come with 16 laps complete. The pair continued their battle following the restart, but Andrews stole the position away. After the top two pulled away, Henry slid his top wing back and began to reel them back in, but time ran out before he could get to them, and finished third.

Like Attica, Fremont hosted a below-average car count for both of the popular third-mile northwest Ohio ovals. Just 19 signed in to compete with the 410 sprints on Saturday night. Henry’s qualifying lap of 13.241 seconds put him seventh on the chart and put him starting in the second spot of his heat race. It was Henry who would emerge from the eight-lap race victorious. Earning a spot in the dash, he darted from fourth on the grid up to second on lap one, but couldn’t catch the leader.

The second-place dash finish still netted Henry the outside pole for the feature. The 30-lap event began with Henry sliding back to third on the opening lap, one of only a handful of passes in the top ten throughout the event. With no cautions to bunch the field back together, passing came at a premium. Though Henry had lost considerable ground, once he moved the wing back to tighten the car’s handling, he rapidly closed back in for the second spot. With nine to go, Henry made his move and recaptured the position. Just a few laps later, the gap between he and leader Nate Dussel was nearly gone. But Dussel’s navigation of lapped traffic was what would ultimately win him the race, leaving the second-place finish to Henry.

Henry would like to thank Level Performance, J&J Auto Racing, OC Shocks, FK Rod Ends, Simpson Race Products, Keizer Wheels, Wings Unlimited, HMS Speedways & Hobbies, Handy Grafix, and Kear's Speed Shop as well as his family, the Genzman team, and all of his great fans for their continued support.

Henry is next scheduled to compete at on July 24 at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, and on July 25 at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, both in the Genzman Racing Enterprises No. 53 410ci winged sprint entry.
