Tulsa Oklahoma (August 12, 2013)- Promoters John and Nicky Webb will host the return of the Oil Capital Racing Series sprint cars to their Southern Oklahoma Speedway this Saturday night in what will be the second and last visit to SOS in 2013 for the rough and rugged dirt track warriors of the regions best champ sprint teams in the land. It will also mark the end of a 3-week cease fire by the OCRS combatants as the weapons of choice have been freshened and are ready to fire on the 3/8-mile battleground.

The last time OCRS graced SOS soil was in April, the second event of the 2013 OCRS tour and it was the ‘Lindsay Flash’, Miss Harli White taking honors in what was her second consecutive win. As White held the top spot of the points chase, there was a general consensus that someone would eventually step up and lead the way towards the fight for the 2013 championship. Those who thought such a scenario are beginning to realize their inclinations maybe dead wrong. White has led the points chase from the get-go and has yet to run into the kind of trouble that has often overcome sophomore drivers in such conquest situations. White, who has five victories this season, will have her #17w Maxim ready to continue her quest to become the first woman to be crowned “OCRS Champion.”

White’s task to sweep seasonal SOS events Saturday night will not come easy, if at all. A slew of challengers will await the point leader including Sapulpa Oklahoma’s Danny “The Caretaker” Smith. A veteran of many dirt track warfare’s, Smith has two honor badges for his own victory achievements this season and sits second in the points chase. Smith and his XXX mount are patiently awaiting to pounce on its prey and any miscues by White Saturday night could find Smith as the new king of the hill as he sits a mere 75 points behind White (1221-1146).

Gary Owens from Pauls Valley is another winner earlier in the 2013 campaign (Oklahoma Sports Park). Owens is a constant threat to win whenever his Eagle lands at OCRS venues and a win at SOS would be just another statement to prove just how strong this team has become. Will the #33 run wild and free? Very possible.

To be the best, you have to beat the best and when it comes to naming the one driver that is year in and year out the number one person to beat, look no further than the four-time champion, ‘Jammin Jamie’ Passmore. The champ has yet to garner that first win of the season as the Eagle pilot has only taken part in 6 of the 15 battles fought as furlough passes have been handed out frequently to Passmore as the champ has been tending to family matters this summer. With a total of 10 winners on the chalkboard already, Passmore could very well become number 11, which would extend the current record for number of victors in OCRS competition in a single season. A Passmore win would make four different winners in a row.

Other 2013 OCRS victory circle tenants that are expected to attend Saturday night include: The Morton brothers, Kade and Chance and their teammate, Alex Decamp. Like White previously, each of these drivers has scored their initial OCRS career wins this year. “The Princess” from Oklahoma City, the forever charming Miss Shayla Waddell, is always a fan favorite and she is expected to spread her Eagle’s wings at speed as well.

Think you know who’s going to win? Come out to Southern Oklahoma Speedway this Saturday night and see firsthand if your best educated guess pans out as there are no easy picks within the wild n’ wicked OCRS sprint car series. What is certain is that the action within the battle arena is sure to be Furious, Frantic and Fantastic!

Put that TV remote down and as for that movie you wanted to go see? It will still be playing the day after so get out to SOS and see the highest quality champ sprint teams slug it out amongst one another to see who stands tall in the end.
