White Nets Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Hard Charger Award at Jackson Motorplex

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (Sept. 7, 2017) – Harli White earned the Hard Charger Award last Saturday at Jackson Motorplex during a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event.

The half-mile track was slated to host a doubleheader, but a rain storm prior to the main event on Friday cancelled the opening night. White returned to the oval on Saturday for the finale, which paid $10,000 to win.

“We didn’t have a good start to the night on Friday,” she said. “We drew terrible and we had to start midpack of the B Main. I wasn’t mad at all with the rainout. It was a fresh start on Saturday, but I made a mistake in the heat that cost us.”

White opened the night by placing sixth in a heat race, which relegated her to the B Main. However, she rallied from eighth to fifth place to earn a transfer into the back of the main event.

“We were doing real good in the A Main the first few laps,” she said. “Then the rubber came and everyone was the same speed. Starting in the back really hurt us.”

White maneuvered from 21st to a 14th-place finish. She passed the most cars in the main event to garner the Hard Charger Award.

White will take this week off from racing to participate in a speaking engagement at Celebrate Community Church in Sioux Falls, S.D.

“I am telling my story and sharing my testimony to the church on Saturday and Sunday,” she said. “I’m really looking forward to the opportunity and meeting a lot of new people.”
