Inside Line Promotions – WEBSTER CITY, Iowa (Aug. 21, 2018) – Harli White enjoyed a strong outing last Saturday during a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com event at Hamilton County Speedway.

White won a heat race after starting on the outside of the front row during her debut at the track. The heat race victory was her fourth of the season with the ASCS National Tour – and seventh overall – and it earned enough points to advance into the feature redraw. White pulled the No. 1 to start the race on the inside of the front row.

“The start of the night couldn’t have gone any better,” she said. “We drew a great number for the heat race and capitalized. We got a good start and that’s what led us to the win. Then we drew a great number for the main event. We just missed it a bit with our setup. We’ve been too tight for a while. We’re fighting the same issue. We were just way too tight in the center and weren’t able to rotate the corner like we should have. It was a prime opportunity to win.”

White fell to sixth in the opening few laps before she settled into the position, which she held until the checkered flag was waved. It marked her 10th top 10 with the ASCS National Tour – a season best.

“We did what we needed to do early in the night and we held our own for most of the feature,” she said. “But when you’re racing with this caliber of competition you can’t be off. It was a learning experience and we’ll be better prepared the next time we race there. On a positive note any time you can win a heat race and get a top 10 in the feature during a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour race it’s a good night.”

A series event on Sunday at Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Mo., rained out.

The next Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event is Sept. 1-2 at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo. It will be White’s debut at the track.
