Hodges Motorsports Update - SNMS Speedway
The weekend got even tougher last night, though we were fasten than the night before. Once again I started off pulling a bad pill, number 63, which put me starting 7th in the third heat. It was one of the toughest heats of the night, and I was able to move up to 5th, but go no further in the heat race. That set me to start 5th in the first B main. We were about as fast as anyone in our heat, so we were excited about our chances in the B to transfer. After getting a good start on the dry slick race track, I was in about 4th and going for 3rd place down the fronstrech when a car above me got loose and spun towards the bottom of the track, which caught the right side of my car. It sent me sideways, and then over a few times, landing back on all four tires. Many of the components on the front of the car were torn up, but the ButlerBuilt seat and all the great safety products did their job and kept me safe. We are getting the car fixed now where it bent the frame and we'll be back at it again in Tucson for Western World here in a couple of days. I would like to thank Mark Rosborough, Robert, Sandy, and Steven, as well as Bill Jewell with The Oil Medics and Brad Benic with Benic Enterprises for their support this weekend.
