Tankersley Takes ASCS Gulf South Glory With Last Lap Pass At Thunder Valley Speedway

Bryan Hulbert – GLENMORA, La. (April 20, 2019) The Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region visited Thunder Valley Speedway on Saturday with the night’s festivities ending in a last lap pass for the win as Channin Tankersley was able to work past race-long leader, Dustin Gates, for his 26th career Gulf South victory.
With Gates holding on for second, the pair was followed to the finish by Tennessee’s Morgan Turpen. Crossing fourth was Koty Adams with Terry Gray making up the top five. Johnny Brown, Jr., Cody Stacy, Tommy Hall, Cody Hall, and Cody Tankersley made the top ten.
The Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region joins with the Stealth Recovery ASCS Mid-South Region next at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Miss. on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27.
