Tankersley and Old School Racing Set for Texas Doubleheader at Devil’s Bowl and LoneStar

Inside Line Promotions – HIGHLANDS, Texas (May 21, 2019) – A pair of ASCS Gulf South Region versus ASCS Lone Star Region races are on tap for Channin Tankersley and Old School Racing.

The team will venture to Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, on Saturday before wrapping up the weekend on Sunday at LoneStar Speedway in Kilgore, Texas.

“Devil’s Bowl hasn’t statistically been one of my better tracks,” he said. “However, we’ve had a bunch of good runs there. We’ll give it our all and try to get it down. It’s really, really technical. You have to have a good car and you’re driving has to be on point.

“We always run well at Kilgore. Pretty much every time we race there we’re quick. It’s just a faster track and I feel like we do better on faster tracks. Between what we’re doing with the car and my driving lately I think we’ll have a good shot at both tracks.”

Tankersley enters the weekend on top of the ASCS Gulf South Region championship standings. He is the only driver to register a top five in all four regional races this season.

Tankersley placed eighth at Devil’s Bowl Speedway last year to give him at least one top 10 during four of the last five years at the track. His most recent appearance at LoneStar Speedway yielded a podium finish in 2016.
