Millwood visits Volusia for Sunshine Nationals

Making his Speedweeks debut, Tyler Millwood made the trek to Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.) on Thursday night for the DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals. Drawing 38 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries, Millwood recorded a seventh-place finish in his heat race, sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Returning on Saturday after persistent rain wiped Friday night’s program, Tyler logged an eighth-place outing in his heat, giving him one final shot at the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place third or better, Millwood came two spots shy with a fifth-place finish.
