Beierle Soaks in New Tracks and New Experiences During ASCS Speedweek

Inside Line Promotions – WHEATLAND, Mo. (June 20, 2017) – As a college student, Andee Beierle is used to learning. It’s no different on the track in her second year of 360ci winged sprint car competition.

Beierle and the BDS Motorsports team recently competed in the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour’s Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek. Mechanical problems with the tow vehicle caused her to miss the first few shows, but she was able to run three consecutive nights to wrap up Speedweek.

“We left Monday and we didn’t get to race until Thursday,” she said. “We spent three days working on the truck. Once we got to racing, it was such an amazing experience. I raced at three tracks I’ve never seen with varying shapes and sizes. I’ve never run on a track as small as Creek County Speedway (in Sapulpa, Okla.). And Lucas Oil Speedway (in Wheatland, Mo.) …wow, what a facility.”

Beierle opened her condensed Speedweek last Thursday at Creek County Speedway before venturing to Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Mo., on Friday. Speedweek wrapped up on Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway, where Beierle posted her best result of 18th.

“We got better and faster and I got more confidence every time we raced,” she said. “We got to race in the A Main at Lucas Oil Speedway and it was just so cool being in a field with so many great drivers, many whom have competed with the Outlaws.”

The BDS Motorsports team had their promotional trailer set up at the tracks as well and a conversation with a fan helped put Beierle’s season into perspective.

“This fan asked how long I’ve been racing and when I told him this is my second year in a 360 he asked Justin (Henderson, BDS Motorsports teammate) and he said 22 years,” she said. “It really put things into perspective for me that it will take time for me to learn. I’m taking baby steps and we are making progress. The BDS Motorsports team gives me a great race car every night. Nothing is ever neglected on the car and I never have to worry about anything.”

On a personal note, Beierle wants to thank teammate Justin Henderson for all of his help. Henderson recently announced he was leaving the BDS Motorsports team to spend more time with his business and family.

“You couldn’t ask for a better teammate,” she said. “I’ve learned so much because of Justin. He always made a point of watching me every time I was on the track and then teaching me what I could do better. I can’t thank him enough for the guidance and support.”

While Beierle will not be racing for a few weeks, the BDS Motorsports team will have a promotional presence at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa, this weekend. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series hits the track on Friday and the NASCAR Xfinity Series competes on Saturday.

“We will have our cars there to give people an idea of what dirt racing is all about,” Beierle said. “We will have goodie bags for the kids and adults. The kids’ aspect of our promotional deal is huge … bigger than I thought. And now that we’ve added Mr. Bubble it’s even better. It’s so cool meeting and making new fans.”

Beierle is scheduled to return to competition July 14-15 at Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, S.D., with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
