2018 Off Season Update

Since we're less than a month out until our sprint car season starts, I wanted to post a little update about what the team has been up to and what's coming up! Here's the highlights....

Most importantly, we've been working on putting together a couple beautiful sprint cars. Our official '2018' car has a brand new design that will look amazing and I can't wait to share. Our first race will be at Devil's Bowl in Texas on March 16-17th, and we hope to hit a few more out of town shows before Knoxville. My goal as a team owner this season was to purchase a second 360 engine to enable us to travel more, and I'm continuing to do whatever it takes to accomplish that.

We kicked off the new year spectating/making connections at both the Tulsa Shootout and the Chili Bowl in January. My goal is to race the 2019 Chili Bowl.

After losing some sponsorship in the fall, I've been very, very busy these past couple of months working to replace and add to our amazing group of partners. I'm happy and grateful to say we've welcomed many new sponsors and look forward to sharing them soon. In addition, I still have many spots available I'm hoping to fill within the next month so we can reach our goal of racing more.

As promised, we'll be releasing my first ever diecast cars along with new shirts and my own jewelry line thanks to my new sponsor, Joseph's Jewelers.

One of my newest partners is Character Counts, the nation's most popular and effective character education program. In January I visited over 200 elementary students to share with them examples of how I've seen character used well and poorly in racing and how they can apply that to their own lives.

January appearances also included autograph sessions at Loras College and the Battle at the Barn with Karl Performance.

I started the spring semester of my junior year at Drake University at the end of January as a part time student to allow me to balance school and racing. I also work part time at the Drake Law School and am still involved in many clubs at Drake, including being president of the Drake Investment Club.

I've continued growing my driver development program, Compass Racing Development, adding new kids to the team and implementing new programs and resources for the drivers.

Over the off season, I decided to challenge myself as an athlete and took up ninja warrior training and gymnastics.

As for social media, I'm looking forward to releasing a season long campaign titled the #BeReal campaign, in which I give you a behind the scenes, real look at who I am, my life, my career, and my perspective on just about any topic. I want to show the fans that social media can't capture everything, so we hope the #BeReal campaign can come close. Iowa Public Television will also be releasing a documentary in the spring, so stay tuned!

Oh...and I turned 21!

Unfortunately I can't capture all of our updates in one post, but stay tuned for them on social media! Please follow us on all outlets - Facebook (McKenna Haase), Instagram (@sassyhaase55), and Twitter (@McKennaHaase). As always, thank you to ALL of you for your support! I couldn't do what I do without you!
