Snyder Collects Two Top-10 Finishes Over Weekend
June 27th, 2016

Friday led the SLS Motorsports #23s to the first of a three-day racing weekend at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, NE with the Sprint Series of Nebraska 305 sprints, where there were 27 cars on hand for the evening. In hot laps, Stu would pull off just short of completing two laps due to engine issues. With Adam Myers with Myers Racing Engines being on hand at the track that night, the engine issues would be resolved for the next event. Snyder would draw the 95 pill for the evening, positioning him for the 9th starting position in the third heat race. He went on to navigate every inch of the 1/3 mile surfaces to battle up to a 5th place finish, being just one spot shy of the transfer to the feature event. Snyder found himself with the pole starting position in the B-Feature, where he would pull away from the field and lead from green to checkered, granting him a 16th place starting position in the feature event. Following a four-wide salute to the fans, Snyder would set sail to the #23s passing 5 cars in the first lap before the red flag would come out on lap 2 in the 305 A-Main for Chase Weiler. Stu would find himself restarting in the 11th position. He would go on to battle up to 8th place before losing a hard battle between three cars as the caution flag flew for Joey Danley with 8 laps to go. Snyder would restart 10th and battle back through the top-10 field of cars to an 8th place finish.

Stu and the SLS Motorsports team would travel on Saturday to Park Jefferson International Speedway in Jefferson, SD to run with the Nebraska 360 Sprint Series. In hot laps, Stu would have a top wing collapse in the middle of turns three and four, causing him loss of sight and slowing down on the inside of the track. He would be hit in the tail tank by another car in the session. With 16 cars on hand and a #37 pill draw, the SLS Motorsports crew would get a new wing on & the car put back together for the heat race. Snyder would start in 4th place of the second heat race, where he would make a first lap move to the second position, where he ride the remainder of the race. Making the re-draw, Stu would draw the #4 pill giving him a 4th place starting position in the feature event. Snyder would find himself in second place on the first lap of the 25-lap feature, where he would sit for 8 laps before falling back to battle for the fourth position for four laps. He would go 3-wide into turn one with Droud, Jr and J. Boston on lap 13, falling back to 6th. The red flag would come out on lap 15 for Jordan Opdahl. Snyder would remain in the 6th position for the remainder of the race, gathering another top-10 finish on the weekend.

Sunday would lead Stu Snyder and the SLS Motorsports team to Badlands Motor Speedway in Brandon, SD to compete with the MSTS 360 Sprints. Stu would draw the 100 pill, placing him in 7th position for the start of the heat race. He would be in a close battle with Bickett for the 4th place position in the heat race for four laps before falling in place behind the #17B and riding the remainder of the heat race out in 5th place. Having enough passing points to transfer to the 25-lap feature event, Snyder would find himself with an 18th place starting position. Stu would battle up through traffic in the first four laps to 12th place before the red flag flew on lap 5 for Josh Riggins who was okay. On the restart, Snyder would be passed by Cody Hansen who would go on to pass Troy Schreurs for position as well. Stu would ride out the remainder of the race behind Schreurs, finishing 13th place in his first race of the 2016 season at Badlands Motor Speedway.
