Michael Bookout Races to a Top 5 Finish in the "A" Feature and the Hard Charger Award
Michael Bookout raced his Finish Line Coatings, Triple X Chassis, STK powered sprinter to a 5th place finish in the "A" Feature at Brill Motor Speedway. Starting near the back of the 20 car field as a result of a 6th place finish in his heat race, Michael passed 12 other cars to earn the Hard Charger Award (awarded to the driver that advances the most positions in the "A" Feature). No driver has advanced more positions in the feature race at any other OCRS event this year. The BiGFooT team thanks Action Auto Collision and Kenneth Robison II for their contributions to the Hard Charger Award.
The team made changes to the car after inspecting the track at intermission. An unusually late night tacky track provided Michael with the opportunity to pick and choose his lines on the track. A last second pass on the final turn of the final lap gained Michael the Top 5 finish.
The previous week's race at Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada also saw Michael passing several cars in the "A" Feature before pulling off because of concerns about potential motor overheating.
Michael Bookout and the BiGFooT team will celebrate the 4th of July racing at Caney Valley Speedway.
