Weekly Action
Well what a week of racing. Wednesday night the team traveled to Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, OK. Cody ran 2nd in the heat race and everything seemed fine. Although he caught the inside burm hard twice in the race I made the mistake of not checking the front end. On the way to the grid we observed that the steering arm, steering rod and steering linkage was all bent. Not being able to steer we ran the car as long as we could to get the points. Due to cars dropping out when the night was over Cody was scored in the 9th Position.
On Saturday night the team traveled down to Gulf Coast Speedway in Alvin, TX. With the front end parts repaired and the car converted to a new coil over set up we were pleased. The car really freed up to the point that our old gear settings from our notes were off. Overall Codys main job was to stay out of the way and drive the car as hard as he could to get used to it. He did so and at the end of the night we walked away pleased with what we had learned. Final position was 6th at the end of the feature.
This will is a 3 night weekend. Friday Night we will be at Heart O' Texas in Waco, Gator Motorplex in Willis and Gulf Coast Speedway in Alvin Sunday to finish out the weekend.
