Edens Leads Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team to Podium at Limaland
Inside Line Promotions – AVON, Ind. (Oct. 31, 2019) – Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team pilot James Edens captured a runner-up result on Wednesday at Limaland Motorsports Park, which hosted the penultimate round of the iRacing USAC World Championship Series.
The strong outing gives the team a podium finisher during five of the eight races this season. It also keeps Edens ranked third in the championship standings.
“I thought the bottom was going to be good there,” he said during a post-race interview with the iRacing eSports Network. “We started (fifth) and we got by Bobby (Sandt Jr.) and pulled alongside Alex (Bergeron). Once he got momentum back he just drove around us. I probably just missed on the gear a little bit and could have been maybe a bit better on the bottom. It was one of those nights, just a few little mistakes and you finish one spot down on the podium.”
Teammates Colton Hardy and Cole Cabre placed ninth and 10th, respectively. Adam Elby advanced to an 11th-place showing with Chase Cabre finishing 15th.
Cole Cabre ranks fifth and Elby is eighth in the championship standings.
The season finale is next Wednesday at Fairbury Speedway.
