Hill Moves Forward in Each Race During Warm-Up for Canadian Sprint Car Nationals

Inside Line Promotions – OHSWEKEN, Ontario, Canada (Sept. 11, 2018) – Alex Hill moved forward in both of her races Friday night at Ohsweken Speedway during her final preparation for the 14th annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals presented by Arrow Express this weekend.

Hill began her evening starting sixth in a heat race.

“The track was a lot slicker than I expected in the heat race,” said Hill, who finished fifth. “But that was good. The reason we’re racing at Ohsweken is to prepare for the Canadian Nationals and the track is usually slick for the Nationals. But our setup was off a little. The car was pushing a bit on entry.

“We’re here to experiment and try new things so my crew chief Daryl and crewman Ryan made some changes to the car for the feature.”

Hill found the changes to her liking, especially early in the race.

“The car was a lot better early,” she said. “We moved up to about seventh or eighth after starting 14th, but then it faded a bit at the end. We had a late restart and I fell back to 11th.”

Hill is looking forward to continuing the improvement during the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals this Friday and Saturday.

“I’m always excited to race at the Canadian Nationals,” she said. “I hope we can make the A Main for the first time this year. We finished two spots away from transferring to the A Main two years ago and we were one position short last year. I hope we can have the kind of car we had for most of the race Friday night.”
