Exclusive Autosport Finds Podium in their Debut at CTMP
Bowmanville, ON (May 4, 2013): Exclusive Autosport, the Canadian Spectrum Race Cars factory team, finished P2, P4 and P7 today in their competition debut at the BEMC Spring Trophy Races in the opening round of the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship today at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (CTMP).
Series veteran Jack Mitchell Jr., in the #90 Exclusive Autosport Spectrum Honda, was the team’s highest finisher today in P2. Jack started the race in 5th position and made his way up to second position where he and current Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship leader Scott Hargrove, battled for the lead. Hargrove held on to take the checkered flag.
Thomas McGregor in the #93 Exclusive Management Inc. / Dairy Queen Spectrum Honda finished just off the podium. McGregor qualified in P4, lost a few positions in the opening laps but skillfully regained ground and captured valuable points in his championship run.
Max Hanratty piloted the #91 SynerComm Inc. / Exclusive Autosport Spectrum Honda to a respectable 7th position today. Hanratty began racing less than one year ago. His hard work and determination to succeed is really paying dividends for the 19 year old.
The team is looking to capitalize and build on the successes of this first round in the second and final race of the weekend taking place tomorrow (Sunday, May 5) at CTMP.
