Kamera McDonald
Central Texas Motor Speedway
This race day was a dream come true for Kamera. This was the first time she raced in the same race as her Dad.
Dad, Tim McDonald, did not have the best of days at the track. He was running strong the first half of the race. On about lap 10 he blew his motor. This would put an end to his race day.
Kamera had a great first half of the race. She drove hard and was fighting back in forth between 2nd and 3rd. Kamera got caught between a few anxious drivers and ended up in a "situation" but was able to finish the race. She just had a lot of ground to make up since starting in the back on the restart. She finished 4th in her division. An excellent job done by Kamera. This was her first time to race at Central Texas Motor Speedway, first time to race her new car, and first time for all divisions racing together. Today's race was an excellent start to her rookie year.
