Hunter Bloxom
Hunter Bloxom Year in Review
2012 The rookie season for Hunter Bloxom was, in his own words, "challenging and worth every obstacle...and penny". The young Texan fought financial hardships and numerous uncertainties for his RPMG Motorsports team. Those difficulties would prove futile when he racked up a top-3 standing in the points race at RPM Speedway in Crandall, along with the Rookie of the Year honors. In addition to numerous top-10 and top-5 finishes, Hunter claimed a decisive and exciting victory in mid-July, which saw him start outside the top 10. Heartbreak would ensue shortly after the checkers fell when the car came up 1 lb short at the scales and the victory stripped. With his head held high after the blow, Hunter battled for the win the following week and proved he would continue to persevere over the challenges between himself and total victory. To add to a promising start to the racing year, at the culmination of RPM Speedway's racing season in September, Hunter was hired by D&W Motorsports of Ovilla, Texas to drive their second entry for the remaining races throughout the region. This new opportunity would see Hunter tackle only the large purse events upcoming. The first, a showdown at Mountain Creek Speedway in Grand Prarie, where Hunter posted a solid 8th in the maiden voyage for the fresh Eagle Chassis with Allard Power. After an intensely focused week at the shop, rectifying the inconsistencies between himself and the car Hunter delivered 3 more solid top-10 finishes at Kennedale Speedway Park where every top Sprint Car team in the region made attendance. The finale had Hunter demonstrate his mix of patience and determination with a thrilling run from 24th. 2013 brings high expectations in the sophomore season for the 26 year old with a calm demeanor, levying a focus on a more aggressive schedule in which to represent not only his name, but those of his loyal supporters: D&W Motorsports, Kisselburgh Law, Residential Property Management Group, Allard Racing Engines, SpeedMart of Washington, and Johnny Suggs Enterprises.
