Buzzy Adams Wins 9th Career WISSOTA 100 Championship

Kevin and his BAR Team entered WISSOTA Modified action during the annual running of the Speedway Motors WISSOTA 100 at the Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, South Dakota this past weekend. Adams raced from the pole to a solid victory in the opening heat race of the weekend on Wednesday night earning himself the pole for the night's qualifying event. Adams jumped to the lead early and looked to be on his way to a victory only to suffer a mechanical problem while leading, ending his night early and ending his bid for the pole for Saturday night's $6,000 to win main event.

Thursday, Adams came back and ran second his heat on Thursday night, which put him inside the second row for the night's main, which he quickly jumped to the lead and dominated for the win, earning himself the outside of the front row for Saturday's main event. Friday night, the only event Adams was scheduled to run was the Race of Champions, which he started sixth and continued his dominating weekend by racing to the front and picking up the victory over the other track champions and qualifier winners in the event.

Saturday afternoon before the program even began, Kevin was selected to be a finalist in the Pot of Gold promotion, where track promoter Orville Chenoweth gives one lucky racer $10,000 and when all was said and done, Adams won the contest and picked up the $10k before even unloading his race car for the night. During the nightcap of the event, the $6,000 to win Modified feature, Adams started from the outside of the front row and never faltered leading event lap en route to his incredible 9th WISSOTA 100 Championship and capping off a very memorable weekend with the victory.
