Pair of 14th-place finishes in Dairyland Showdown

On Friday afternoon, Ricky Weiss was one of 38 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries on hand at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) for the two-day Dairyland Showdown. Following a sixth-place finish in his heat race, Weiss came in fifth in his B-Main, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the opening night feature. Improving nine spots in the 40-lap affair, Ricky recorded a 14th-place finish.

The following night, Ricky followed up the seventh fastest time in his group with a seventh-place finish in his heat. Jumping up two spots in his B-Main to place third, Weiss locked into the 21st-starting position for the $22,500-to-win finale. Passing seven cars in the 60-lapper, Ricky posted a 14th-place outing.

Ricky is fifth in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
