Weiss scores Top-5 finish in Seymour Showdown at 411
Ricky Weiss trekked to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Tuesday afternoon for the Castrol FloRacing Night in America tour opener.
With a fourth-place finish in his heat, Weiss was victorious in his B-Main which earned him a feature starting position. For the $23,023-to-win main event, Ricky stormed through the field, picking off eleven positions on his way to an eighth-place finish.
Following the series to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) on Wednesday, Weiss finished sixth in his heat which relegated him to a B-Main. Needing a Top-2 finish to transfer to the A-Main, Ricky finished just short of transferring with a third-place outing.
Switching gears to the World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series on Thursday at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.), Ricky climbed forward four positions in his heat race to nab a redraw spot. Rolling off from the third row in the $10,000-to-win Seymour Showdown, Weiss battled with the leaders and picked up a Top-5 finish behind Cory Hedgecock, Ricky Thornton Jr., Kyle Bronson, and Dale McDowell.
