Three consecutive top-10 finishes to cap off WWS at Vado
Tad Pospisil returned to the driver’s seat of his Window World No. 04 Late Model on Wednesday evening for the third round of the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout at Vado Speedway Park (Vado, N.M.).
With a third-place finish in his heat race placing him on the fifth row for the opener, Pospisil dropped two spots in the 30-lapper to finish 11th.
Back in action on Friday after a scheduled off day on Thursday, Tad timed in fifth-fastest in his group before placing second in his heat. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Pospisil carried a steady pace to finish 10th.
For another $10,000-to-win program on Saturday, Pospisil followed up a fourth-place finish in his heat with a 10th-place finish in the A-Main.
The weekend drew to a close on Sunday with Tad qualifying for the $25,000-to-win Wild West Shoot finale with a third-place run in his heat. Starting in 10th, Pospisil inched forward one spot in the 50-lap affair to cross the line in ninth.
Tad finished 11th in the Wild West Shootout miniseries point standings.
